Kansas City is getting a new mixed-use construction project on the Missouri riverfront. The project is expected to begin in the spring or summer of this year, with the opening occurring in the summer of 2016. This is a $65 million construction job called The Union | Berkley Riverfront Park that will bring 480,000 square feet of new housing, parking, and retail space. Over 400 high-end apartments will go in along with even more parking spaces, and the property will boast over 12,000 square feet of retail space.
Construction will begin once the Port Authority of Kansas City has prepped the site for construction. The Port Authority is confident this will be the first of many more locations to pop up along the Missouri River. There are no development incentives to be had because the land is tax exempt, but the company involved (Flaherty & Collins) aims to be building along the riverfront for many years to come.
For projects such as this, along with smaller scale projects as well, open-top dumpsters are the best way to handle all of the refuse that is being tossed from the jobsite. These dumpsters come in a variety of sizing options as well, making it easy to pick the very best for your specific project. There are even dumpsters that can handle heavy debris if there will be any asphalt, dirt, sand, or other such refuse types.
It’s important to know who you are dealing with when you choose a dumpster rental. Even if you find a local company to provide you with a waste container in Kansas City, sometimes they might not have your best interest in mind. Make sure that you research the company thoroughly before you place the order. They should offer flat-rate pricing and terms of service that are simple and streamlined. The more convoluted their pitch sounds, the more convoluted you can expect their pricing to be when it’s all said and done.
