People start a garden for numerous reasons. It is not only a relaxing activity but also a way to be creative. From deciding what plants to grow, to growing fruits and vegetables, to structuring a path from flower bed to flower bed, gardening is a great way to utilize your creativity. Having a garden in your backyard gives you a place to unwind and relax. A great addition to your sanctuary is a pond. Here is an easy way to build a pond using a recycled tire.
What You Will Need:
- Scroll Saw
- Old Tire
- Strong Garden Foil
- Gravel and Pebbles
- Big Stones
Choose a spot in your garden that is flat and with the smallest amount of sharp stones in the ground.
Use a shovel to dig a hole big enough to place you tire inside. Put sand inside and use a level to make sure the bottom is perfectly flat. After doing this, place the tire inside.
While using a scroll saw, cut the upper part of the tire so that it is wider.
Be sure the inside of the tire is clear from spare stones or sharp items before laying down the foil.
Wrap the foil all away around the tire so it is level with the ground. Be sure the space around the tire is filled up with gravel.
Place big stones around the tire to prevent the foil from coming away of the tire.
Fill the pond with water!
Don’t forget to use your creativity to add flair to your pond and garden. Arranging the stones and adding plants around it is just the beginning of turning the pond into your own masterpiece. Hope this is a great addition to your garden sanctuary!
