Chamblee, Georgia, north of Atlanta is rolling out a new sanitation schedule. Starting April 1, the city will be providing once-per-week pickup for residents. The service schedule will have two phases to its implementation. Those residents included in Phase I (north of Peachtree-DeKalb Airport to I-285, east and west to the Doraville and Brookhaven city limits) will start receiving their 95 gallon containers starting Monday March 16, 2015. Collection will start on or near April 1 of this year.

Those residents in Phase II (south of the Peachtree-DeKalb Airport to I-85) will start receiving their once-a-week pickups on July 1, 2015. In conjunction with the included 95-gallon trash bins, residents can also request a 35-gallon container for recycling. This will not negate the 18-gallon containers that residents are already using. There is also a limited number of 65-gallon refuse containers for those with less trash to bring to the curb.

Residents can call 770-986-5040 to make a request for the smaller containers. You can find additional information about the new bins on the city’s website.

If you have a situation that is going to require more than the average waste removal, we suggest looking into an Atlanta area dumpster rental. These dumpsters are much larger than your average trash bin and they are able to handle a variety of refuse. Rent these if you are going to have a one-time use situation or even for a long-term project that will require multiple dumpsters over the course of the whole job.

Dumpsters are a great answer to your specific waste removal needs. They’re easy to deliver, they just roll off of a flatbed truck, and they’re easy to pick up as well. The units are also open-top so you can simply toss your refuse over the walls. Just be sure to avoid over-filling the waste containers as that could result in excess fees added on to your order.
