Compare Roll Off Dumpster Dimensions

When choosing the right size roll off dumpster for your project, it can be tricky to estimate how all your debris will stack up in a container. It’s important to consider both the volume and weight of your materials. Check out our dumpster size chart to compare dumpster sizes, learn how much each one can hold and find the right fit for your job.

How Are Dumpster Sizes Calculated?

A dumpster’s exterior is typically measured in feet, while its total volume is measured in cubic yards. To calculate the size of a dumpster, multiply its exterior dimensions in feet (length x width x height) together to get its volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number in cubic feet by 27 to convert the measurement to cubic yards.
