Commercial Dumpster Size Information
Some might say that size doesn't matter. While we do agree that sometimes that's true, what happens when you're short on space? Or maybe you don't have a lot of waste to get rid of, and think large dumpsters would just be a waste for you? Here's where the 2-yard dumpster is a perfect fit. It may be the smallest option, but it will still hold enough waste equivalent to that of a pickup truck. The sides are low at only 3 feet, so it's fairly easy to fill. If you have a small business or office and don't have a lot of waste, this will be the most economical option for you.
The 4-yard size is not too big and not too small. It's a great "middle-of-the-road" option if you think the 2 yard size will be too small, but you don't think you'll quite need to upgrade to the standard 6-yarder. The walls are a little higher on this option, standing at 4 1/2 feet, but it's still easy to toss in your garbage without any problems. Those who most commonly rent this size include small retailers or restaurants and offices less than 5,000 square feet.
This 6-yarder is the all-around dumpster that you will see just about anywhere. It's the popular and versatile option; great for hotels, strip malls, grocery stores, and large office buildings. At 6 feet wide and 5 feet long, there's enough space on the inside to handle the occasional bulky debris. The sides may be taller, at about 6 feet, but there's a sliding door on the side so you can easily get your trash inside without any accidental spillage.
If you want the biggest of the big, the dumpster that can handle just about everything, you've come to the right place. The 8-yard dumpster is as big as they come when you're talking about commercial dumpsters. You'll see these babies in the back of gigantic stores, warehouses, and offices up to 25,000 square feet. The sides will tower over you at a height of 7 feet, but there's a sliding door on the side, making it manageable in the best way.
