Do I need a permit for my dumpster rental?
You don't need a permit to keep your roll off dumpster on private property, like your driveway or jobsite. But if you plan to keep your bin in the street, you may need a permit ahead of time. Check with the city of Harrisburg's Public Works Department for permitting information. Be sure to get your permit after you order your roll off container but before it's delivered. When I rent a dumpster, is there a door?

4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
