Can I keep my roll off dumpster in the street?
If you have limited space on-site, we can place your dumpster rental on the street in front of or adjacent to your work area. However, you need a Temporary Dumpster/POD Permit from the city before ordering. You can have the roll off container on private property, like your driveway or jobsite, without a permit of any kind. Call us if you have more questions about the permitting process or dumpster placement.
Should I cover my dumpster rental if it rains?
Secure a tarp over your dumpster with bungee cords or tie-down straps if they're calling for storms during your rental period. Without a cover, standing water will pool in the roll off container and make your load heavier than normal. This is especially true if you're tossing carpet, upholstered furniture and other absorbent materials. Remember your bin has a set weight limit, and going over it will result in extra fees. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
