Frequently Asked Questions

Can I keep my dumpster rental in the street?

Yes, you can keep your roll off dumpster in the street. However, you may need a permit from the city of Silvis' Public Works Department ahead of time. If you need a permit, be sure to get it after you order your bin and before it's delivered. We can also deliver your roll off container to your private property, like your driveway or jobsite, without a permit. Just make sure the spot you choose is flat, paved and accessible to our driver. For help finding the right location, reach out to our team.

When I rent a dumpster, why can I only partially fill it with certain materials?

You can only fill your dumpster rental partway when tossing heavy debris, like concrete and brick, to avoid going over its weight limit. Landfills charge disposal costs by the ton. So going over your weight limit results in a per-ton overage fee. And if you fill your roll off container with too much debris, it could be too heavy for our driver to pick up, resulting in a fee. Not sure how much your materials weigh? Use our weight calculators to estimate your debris tonnage ahead of time and find the right size dumpster.

How It Works

1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
