Can I keep my dumpster rental in the street?
Yes, you can keep your roll off dumpster in the street. But you may need a permit ahead of time. Check with Rockland County's Highway Department for permitting information. What if it rains while I’m renting a dumpster?
If it rains during your dumpster rental period, cover your bin with a tarp. Secure the tarp with bungee cords or straps so it doesn't blow away. Absorbent materials, like dirt and carpet, could soak up the rainwater and add extra weight to your dumpster. Each of our rentals has a weight limit, and going over your limit results in a per-ton overage fee. Covering your roll off container should help you avoid any fees due to rainwater.
