Can my dumpster rental sit on an incline?
In most cases, we can’t place roll off dumpsters on hills. Steep inclines pose a safety risk for our driver and make filling your bin difficult. We recommend choosing a flat, paved surface for your container. Your driveway usually works best for residential projects, while construction sites have a designated waste and recycling area. Street placement is also a good option, but you need an Encroachment Permit from Sacramento County first. When you rent a dumpster from our team, we’ll help you choose a delivery spot.
What can’t I dispose of in my roll off dumpster?
While we accept most debris types, you can’t throw flammable and hazardous waste in our roll off containers. This includes oil, gasoline, asbestos, batteries and household chemicals. You can’t dispose of bulky items like tires and railroad ties in your bin either. These materials are dangerous to touch and raise health concerns at the landfill. 1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
