What if it rains while I’m renting a dumpster?
Cover your bin if you’re expecting storms during your dumpster rental period. Secure a tarp over the top with bungee cords or tie-down straps so the wind doesn’t blow it away. If left uncovered, standing water will pool in your roll off container and make your debris heavier. This is especially true if you’re tossing carpet, upholstered furniture and other absorbent materials. Remember your dumpster has a weight limit, and going over it will result in extra fees. Reach out if you need help preparing for rain or snow during your cleanup.
How can I prepare for my roll off dumpster delivery?
Make sure the drop-off location is accessible and clear before your roll off container arrives. This means moving cars, equipment and other potential obstacles out of the way. You should also open any entry gates to your property so our truck can get through. Short on space? Street placement is possible, but you might need a permit from the city of Delta first. 4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
