You should keep your roll off dumpster on a flat, paved surface. For household projects, we can typically deliver your bin to your driveway. If you're working on a construction site, a designated waste area is usually best. We can also deliver your roll off container to the street. But you may need a permit from Portsmouth's Streets Department ahead of time. Not sure if your property or the street is best for your dumpster? Contact our team, and we'll help you find the right spot.
When tossing heavy materials, like concrete and brick, you can only partially fill your dumpster rental to avoid going over its weight limit. Exceeding that limit will result in a per-ton overage fee. Also, if you overfill your roll off container with heavy debris, it may be too heavy for our driver to pick up, resulting in a fee. Not sure how much your materials weigh? Use our weight calculators ahead of time to estimate your tonnage of debris and find the right bin. Reach out to us if you need more help.
1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
