Can my dumpster rental sit on an incline?
No, you need to keep your roll off dumpster on a flat, paved surface. If the area is steep enough that you need to use a parking brake, then it's too steep for your bin. Usually, we can deliver your roll off container to your driveway or jobsite. But, if these areas are too hilly, we can also drop off your dumpster in the street. You just might need a permit from the city of St. Albans' Public Works Department ahead of time. For help finding the right location for your bin, contact our team.
What should I do if it rains while I’m renting a dumpster?
If a storm rolls in during your dumpster rental period, cover your bin with a tarp. Secure the tarp with bungee cords or straps so it doesn't blow away. Without a tarp, rainwater could enter your container and soak absorbent materials, making them heavier. Each of our dumpsters has a weight limit, and going over your limit results in a per-ton overage fee. Covering your bin should help you avoid any fees due to rainwater. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
