When I rent a dumpster, will I need a permit?
You only need a Dumpster Permit from the Whitehall Township Police Department if you plan to keep your roll off container in the street. Your dumpster rental can’t extend onto the sidewalk, and you must mark it with reflective tape and flashing caution lights. All roll off dumpsters must be covered when not in use. Local police may deny your permit if the bin could cause a safety hazard. In that case, we’ll need to park your dumpster on a flat, paved area on private property. We will discuss placement options with you when you reach out.
How should I load my dumpster rental?
Start by walking larger items into the bin through the loading door. Be sure to space heavy items evenly throughout your roll off dumpster to distribute the weight. Then, toss lighter items over the sides. Be sure no items stick above the dumpster’s fill line and nothing hangs over its sides. This ensures our driver can safely pick up your roll off container.
