When I rent a dumpster, how should I prepare for delivery?
Choose a flat, paved surface for the delivery of your roll off container. Your driveway is ideal for household projects. On construction sites, a designated waste area is best. You can lay down plywood or set up cones to mark the delivery spot, but it's not mandatory. Then, move any parked cars out of the drop-off zone, and unlock any gates. What if it rains during my dumpster rental period?
If it rains while you're renting a dumpster, cover your bin with a tarp to keep the rainwater out. Secure the tarp with bungee cords or straps so it doesn't blow away. Standing water and wet absorbent materials, such as carpet and dirt, can add weight to your roll off container. Each of our roll off dumpsters comes with a weight limit. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
