*Please call your sales representative to learn more about disposing of specific materials, as well as any items we cannot accept.
While our Lakeland dumpster rental service accepts a wide range of debris types, certain materials aren't allowed in our containers because they could damage the container or be harmful to the environment. Prohibited items include hazardous materials that are not allowed in landfills, such as fuels, paints and refrigerants. Other items that are not permitted include burnt material, food waste, tires and railroad ties. These must be taken to other facilities for recycling or reuse.
If you’re expecting bad weather to roll in from the St. Croix River during your rental period, it’s a good idea to cover the top of your bin. You can protect it from rain by securing a tarp over the bin with ropes or bungee cords. This will prevent rainwater from adding weight to your debris, especially if you’re disposing of absorbent materials such as dirt or household junk.
If you're using your dumpster rental for a home improvement project or a general cleanout, your driveway is usually the easiest and most convenient option. Street placement may be possible, though a permit may be required. If you're a contractor or job site manager, you should place the bin in a designated waste and recycling area. Please note that our roll off containers need to be placed on a flat, paved surface to ensure the dumpster is retrievable after delivery. If there are no paved surfaces nearby, our team will work with you to find a suitable spot.
1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
