When I rent a dumpster, how should I prepare for delivery?
On the day of delivery, make sure the drop-off area is clear and accessible to our driver. Unlock any necessary gates, and move parked cars, large equipment and other obstacles away from the area. You can lay down plywood or set up cones to mark the delivery spot, but it's not mandatory. If we’re dropping off your roll off container in the street, you may need a permit before delivery. Contact the town of Severance's Public Works Department for permitting information. If you have more questions about dumpster delivery, get in touch with our team.
Will my dumpster rental have a door?
All our Severance roll off dumpsters have a loading door to help make the cleanup process more efficient. We recommend loading heavy and bulky items first. Walk them through the swinging door and spread them evenly throughout the container. You can also use a wheelbarrow to collect your debris and roll it inside. Then, toss lighter materials in over the sides or walk them through the door. Be sure nothing is sticking out of the top or hanging over the sides of your roll off container at pickup. It’s also important to secure the dumpster door before pickup and at the end of each work day.

2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
