What can’t I put in a dumpster rental?
While we accept most debris types, there are some items that are not allowed in a roll off container. Prohibited items include hazardous or dangerous materials such as pesticides, motor oil, paint, gasoline, tires and railroad ties. While not prohibited, throwing away certain types of electronics and mattresses may incur an additional per-item fee. Give us a call if you have questions about any of your project's materials.
Where is the best place to keep my dumpster rental?
When you rent a dumpster for a home improvement project or cleanout, your driveway is usually the most convenient placement option - assuming it’s not on a steep incline. If you’re a contractor or job site manager, place the roll off dumpster in a designated waste area that’s on a flat spot and away from equipment.
Do I need a permit for my dumpster rental?
If you are placing your dumpster on private property, such as in your driveway, you will not need a permit. If you're planning to keep your roll off container on the street or blocking a sidewalk, you will need to apply for an Encroachment Permit from Contra Costa County's Public Works Department. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
