Do I need to be there when my dumpster rental arrives?
You don’t have to be present when we drop off your bin — it’s one of the perks of working with us. But be sure to open any necessary entry gates so the delivery spot is accessible to our driver. You should also move potential obstacles out of the way ahead of time to ensure we can successfully deliver your roll off container. If we’re placing your bin in the street, you may need a permit. Contact North Greenbush’s Highway Department for permitting information before delivery. If you have more delivery questions, get in touch with our team.
When I rent a dumpster, can I fill my bin to the top?
Not always. Certain materials, like brick, asphalt and concrete, are very heavy. If you fill your dumpster rental to the top with them, you might go over its weight limit. Each roll off dumpster has a weight limit to ensure our driver can safely haul away the bin. Landfills also charge disposal costs by the ton, so going over your weight limit will result in a per-ton overage fee. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
