How should I prepare for my dumpster rental delivery?
Move any vehicles or equipment from the drop-off area and clear away any debris or obstacles. You can mark exactly where you want your roll off dumpster delivered with cones or caution tape. Laying down plywood is a good way to protect your driveway from scratches or other damage. If you want to keep your roll off container in the street, you may need an Encroachment Permit from Santa Cruz County before we arrive. Contact the county’s Public Works Department for details. Do I need to cover my roll off container?
We recommend covering your dumpster rental in public areas to keep others from tossing debris in your bin. You'll also want to cover your bin to keep rainwater from pooling inside during bad weather. Water can soak absorbent materials, like carpet and dirt, making them heavier. Each dumpster has a weight limit and going over that limit may result in an overage fee. 3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
