Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?
You don’t need a permit for your dumpster rental if your drop-off spot is on private property. This includes your driveway or a construction site. But you’ll need a Street Storage Permit to keep your bin in the street, sidewalk, alley or other public rights-of-way. After you order your roll off dumpster, contact Middleton’s Building Inspection Department for more information. You will need the permit before we can deliver your roll off container. Contact our team if you have more questions about permits.
Do I need to be present for my dumpster rental delivery?
You don’t need to be present for your roll off dumpster delivery unless you need to open a gate or remove an obstacle. In gated communities, we’ll request the gate code for the driver if you won't be there. Be sure to clear the drop-off area of obstacles, including vehicles, ahead of time. You can use cones or chalk to mark where you want your roll off container placed. It’s also a good idea to lay down plywood to protect your driveway from damage. We’ll guide you through the process and provide more delivery tips when you rent a dumpster.

3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
