Frequently Asked Questions

Where should my roll off dumpster go?

Keep your dumpster rental on a flat paved spot within the property lines. Dumpsters can’t block any public right-of-way. Your driveway is great for home projects. Construction jobsites should have a designated waste area for your bin that’s clear of large equipment and debris. You don’t need a permit to keep your roll off container on private property. But you’ll need to provide Ridgeland’s Planning and Community Development Department with a letter stating how long the bin will be there. Contact our team if you need help choosing a good drop-off spot.

Should I cover my dumpster rental?

We recommend covering your roll off dumpster in public areas to keep others from tossing in debris. You'll also want to cover your bin to keep rainwater from pooling inside during bad weather. Water can soak absorbent materials, like carpet and dirt, making them heavier. Each dumpster has a weight limit and going over that limit may result in an overage fee. The easiest way to cover your roll off container is with a tarp secured with bungee cords or straps. Contact us with any questions about covering your dumpster.

How It Works

1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
