Where should my dumpster rental go?
Your roll off container should sit on a flat, paved surface free of obstacles. For residential projects, your driveway is ideal. On jobsites, keep your roll off dumpster in a designated area away from equipment and other potential obstacles. You may be able to keep your bin in the street, but check with Tybee Island’s Public Works Department to see if you need a permit ahead of time. When you rent a dumpster with us, our team will help with permitting and choosing a delivery spot.
Should I cover my roll off dumpster?
The city of Tybee Island requires a secure cover on your dumpster when you’re not using it. We also recommend covering your roll off container if you’re expecting rain. The easiest way is to secure a tarp over the top using bungee cords or tie-down straps. Without a cover, standing water will pool in the container and increase the weight of absorbent materials, like dirt and upholstered furniture. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
