Why are certain materials not allowed in a dumpster?
There are certain materials that cannot be disposed of in our roll off containers. Any items that are classified as hazardous materials or are prohibited from landfills cannot be thrown in a dumpster. Prohibited items include fuels, motor oil and refrigerants, as well as tires and railroad ties. These materials must be taken to other facilities for recycling or reuse.
Should I cover my roll off container in the rain?
If you are expecting rain or snow during your rental period, you should consider covering your dumpster rental to prevent your debris from absorbing water, which can add weight to your load. You can protect your bin from precipitation with a tarp, securing it using bungee cords or tie-down straps so the wind doesn't blow it away.
Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster in Clear Lake?
You don’t need city permission to keep your roll off container on private property, like your driveway or job site. However, you should apply for a Right-of-Way/Utility Permit if you’re working in the public right-of-way, like the street or sidewalk. 2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
