What items can I throw in my dumpster rental?
You can use your roll off dumpster to dispose of a wide variety of trash and debris, including home clutter, appliance drywall. However, yard waste, stumps and flammable materials are not accepted by our Shakopee dumpster rental service due to local regulations. Other prohibited items include tires, batteries, gasoline, paint, household chemicals and hazardous waste. If you have questions about anything you're tossing out, give our team a call.
Will my roll off dumpster have a door?
Yes, all of our roll off containers have a swinging door to make debris and junk removal more efficient. In fact, the safest way to fill your bin is to walk to the bigger, heavier items in through the door. If you’re using a wheelbarrow to collect your debris, you can also roll it inside the dumpster through the door and dump it out.
Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?
You don’t need city permission to keep your roll off container on private property, like your driveway or jobsite. However, you should apply for a Right-of-Way Permit from the city of Shakopee's Public Works Department if you plan to place the bin in the street or blocking the sidewalk. 1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
