Is there a right way to fill a roll off dumpster?
We recommend loading larger or heavier items first through the swinging door so you can use the space efficiently. Then you can walk your smaller objects in or simply toss them over the side. When you’re ready for a pickup, make sure all your debris is completely inside the dumpster and that nothing is sticking up over the top.
What should I do with my dumpster rental if it rains?
If it rains while your roll off dumpster is on-site, covering your container can help you avoid adding weight to absorbent materials or getting standing water in the bin. Exceeding your container’s maximum limit may result in additional charges. The easiest way to avoid fees is to keep your dumpster covered during inclement weather. We recommend using a tarp and securing it in place with tie-down straps or bungee cords so it won't blow away.
Where will my dumpster rental be dropped off?
We will work with you to choose a flat, open area for your dumpster rental delivery, such as a parking lot or driveway. If your driveway has a slope that requires cars to use a parking brake, we won't be able to place a roll off container there. If you want to keep your dumpster in the street, apply for a Right-of-Way Permit from the city of Mendota Heights before your delivery date. 1. Choose a size and delivery spot. We require 60 feet of space in a straight line and 23 feet of vertical clearance.
2. Prepare for delivery. Remove any vehicles, materials or low-hanging obstacles to ensure we can deliver your dumpster and to avoid a trip fee.
3. Fill up your dumpster. Remember to keep your included weight limit in mind to prevent overage fees.
4. Schedule your pickup. To ensure pickup and avoid a trip fee, your dumpster must be accessible and only contain approved debris piled no higher than the sidewalls.
